Upcoming Rounds of Golf

To register for any of the Ottawa Out Golfing Group (OOGG) rounds of golf listed below, please contact the coordinator at 613-237-0200 or rmeagher@istar.ca. Teeoff times will be confirmed with registered golfers in advance of the round of golf. Weekday rounds of golf are also arranged. You simply need to inform the coordinator of your availability to play golf during the week, on the weekend preceding your weekday availability (i.e. by Sunday for the following Monday – Friday). The coordinator then informs all golfers who have expressed an interest in playing golf during the upcoming week and those golfers organize a game, or games, among themselves (on the day / course / time of their choice).

Format	- Scramble (sometimes referred to as ‘best ball’) - Women play from women's tees - Men play from men's tees - Team can be any combination of men and women (e.g. 3 men and 1 woman, all women, all men, 3 women and 1 man, etc.) - Team should consist of three or four players

Prizes	Special mention will be made for: 1. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place foursomes (low gross) 2. Longest drive – men and women 3. Closest to the hole – men and women With the exception of the hole-in-one prize (details to follow), all prize winners can look forward to their pick of prizes from the remarkable prize table! After the above prizes have been awarded, teams other than the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place foursomes will be randomly selected to make a trip to the prize table. We hope that everyone who participates in the day will go home with a prize. Dinner	Dinner and prize give-aways will follow the round of golf, at the golf course. The meal will be a BBQ chicken and ribs buffet which also includes potatoes, hot vegetables, pasta, two summer salads, fresh vegetable tray, pickle tray, bakery breads, assorted dessert squares, coffee and tea. Consideration has been given to those persons with vegetarian diets. The buffet includes vegetarian pasta, garden salads, vegetables, and breads. Pakenham Highlands Golf Club will offer bar service for the dinner.
Cost and Payment	A fee of $100 includes your green fees, power cart, dinner, taxes and gratuities. We are also hoping to offer you complimentary drinks (bottled water, soft drinks and juices) and snacks (chips, bars, cookies and muffins) during your round of golf. There is a dinner only option available at a cost of $35. Payment in full, by cash or cheque, accepted by July 31, 2008. Please make your cheque payable to Robert Meagher (mailing address “105-317 Metcalfe Street, Ottawa, ON, K2P 1S3”). Refunds possible up to, and including, July 31, 2008.

To register, please provide your full name, phone number you can be reached at if needed, email address, or the same for each member of your team, if registering a team. Deadline for registration is July 31. We welcome your non-golfing partner, spouse, companion, significant other, or friend’s participation in the day. If your partner, spouse, companion, significant other, or friend would like to join the dinner portion of the day, please register their attendance for the dinner (see ‘cost and payment’ above).

Awards	Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in men and women's divisions. Winners will be determined by the lowest 2-day, combined net total scores.
Dinner and Awards Ceremony	Dinner and awards ceremony will follow the second day's round of golf, at the golf course.
Cost and Payment	A fee is to be confirmed but is intended to include your two rounds of golf (including power cart), dinner after the second round of golf, taxes and gratuities. Registration	To register for the event, you need to log five rounds of golf with the Ottawa Out Golfing Group Coordinator during the 2008 season. Each round of golf should include the date the round was played, the course, and your gross score. You can log your rounds of golf with the Ottawa Out Golfing Group Coordinator by email at rmeagher@istar.ca. Deadline for registering your five rounds of golf is September 1, 2008. Your tournament handicap will be determined using a straight par 72 method, averaged over the five rounds of golf you register (contact the Ottawa Out Golfing Group Coordinator for details).
