Mission, Vision and Values^*

The Ottawa Out Golfing Group's mission is to, through the great game of golf, break down barriers, build bridges, and nurture a welcoming, supportive and vibrant community for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered persons. Sport can bring people together in a way unlike any other activity. Sport has the power to transcend culture, nationality, religion, and most other barriers—in essence, sport has the power to transcend differences. Our vision is for all those interested in golf to join our community, regardless of sexual orientation, age, sex, ethnicity, race, religious or political beliefs, nationality, athletic ability, or health status. In support of our mission and vision, the Ottawa Out Golfing Group is based on the core values of SPIRIT:
